JACKSON, Mich. - The Mott Community College baseball team earned their first win of the season as the MCCAA Eastern Conference season opened over the weekend.
Mott fell to Macomb Community College 12-1 on Friday before picking up a 3-1 victory over St. Clair County Community College on Saturday. The Bears played a home game at Jackson College and fell 7-3 to move to 1-11 overall and 1-2 in the MCCAA.
Macomb:

Timothy Geottes went 2-for-2 with a double.

Ryan Metz and Luke Trotter each recorded a double.

Talan Pickens added a hit and the team's lone RBI.

Conor Sweeny (0-4) took the loss, starting and going four innings, allowing five runs, two earned, on seven hits, while walking three and striking out three.
SC4:

The Bears scored two in the second on RBIs from Carson Nerreter and Luke Dupuis, while adding an RBI from John LaVallier in the seventh.

Geottes and Dupuis each recorded two hits.

Nerreter added a double, a run scored, a stolen base, and two walks.

Carson Haddad (1-2) earned the win with seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out six.

Alex Miller (1) got the save, allowing one unearned run on one hit, striking out one in two innings.
Jackson:

Trenton Kriewaldt had two hits, including a double, adding a run scored and a walk.

LaVallier added two hits, an RBI, and a walk.

Nerreter recorded a double and a run scored.

Charlie Ouellette (0-2) started and took the loss. He allowed four runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 3.2 innings.
