OXFORD, Ala. - The Mott Community College softball team rallied to stay alive at the NJCAA DII World Series against Black Hawk College on Tuesday at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.
The No. 20 seed Bears trailed 8-3 heading to the fifth. Mott scored three in the fifth and six in the sixth to take the lead and held on for a 12-10 win to advance in the elimination bracket. The win moved the Bears to 40-10 overall on the season and is the first victory for Mott at the National Championship since 2016.

Arika Hines added two hits, including a double, three RBIs, and one run.

Arika Hines (18-5) got the win, allowing 10 runs, four earned, on 13 hits, walking five and striking out seven.
