WATERFORD, Mich. - The Mott Community College softball team earned a critical doubleheader sweep of Oakland Community College on Tuesday in Waterford, Mich.
Entering the day a game back of the Owls in the MCCAA standings, the Bears dominated the doubleheader, taking game one 9-2, and game two 14-3 in five innings to move into first place.
The Bears enter the final stretch of the regular season 24-11 overall and 16-6 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Alexis Hemker went 4-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Parker Beardsley added two hits including a triple, one run, and one RBI.

Gracie Cantley hit her third home run of the season, adding a stolen base.

Hines (14-7) tossed all seven innings, allowing two unearned runs on six hits, while walking one and striking out three.

Katelyn Stallings had a home run, finishing with two hits, five RBIs, two runs and a stolen base.

Keira McGarvie hit a home run, finishing with two hits, two runs, and three RBIs.

Cantley hit her second home run of the day, recording two hits, three runs, one RBI, and a walk.

Hines (15-7) got the win in relief, going four scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out four.
