Bears drop road rematch with Bruins

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Mott Community College women's basketball team hit the road for a rematch with Kellogg Community College on Tuesday. 

For the second time in five days, the Bears matched up with the Bruins following a Mott win at home last week. This time, Kellogg took control in the second quarter and held off Mott late for a 61-53 victory. 

The loss drops the Bears to 5-3 overall. 

Mott Highlights:

• Ella Provost continued her strong play with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, while adding five rebounds and 2 steals. 

• Arie Lewis added 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, while recording three steals. 

• Allannah Liggins scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds off the bench. 

• Tamia Taylor finished with eight points and five rebounds. 

• The Bears shot 17-of-61 from the field, 6-of-20 from deep, and 13-of-20 at the line.
