Johnston finishes 6th as Mott Women's Golf debuts

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - The Mott Community College women's golf team competed in its first tournament, traveling to the Lourdes Spring Invitational on Wednesday in Ottawa Lake, Mich. 

The Bears had two student-athletes in the field, with Kamryn Johnston and Mallory Baibos competing. Johnston had a strong outing, finishing in a tie for sixth place with a one-round score of 80 (+8) on the Par 72 course at The Legacy GC. 

Baibos shot a 99 (+27) and tied for 44th place in the 56 golfer field. 

The Bears compete next at the two-day Women's Central District Tournament on April 22-23 at the Twin Hill Country Club in Joplin, Mo.
