Mott Wrestling Welcomes Blake Daniels as Head Coach
FLINT - Mott Community College Wrestling is excited to welcome Blake Daniels to our coaching staff!
A native of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Coach Daniels brings a championship pedigree and a passion for developing student-athletes on and off the mat.
Daniels began his wrestling career at Ypsilanti Community High School, where he earned a Top-10 state ranking before continuing his career at Adrian College. As a Bulldog, he served as team captain, was ranked 6th in the region, and competed on every nationally ranked Adrian College wrestling team from 2020–2025. During that time, he helped the Bulldogs capture back-to-back conference championships, establishing himself as both a leader and fierce competitor.
His coaching experience is equally impressive. From 2020–2026, Daniels served as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Ypsilanti Community High School and Ruffin Trained Wrestling Club, where he helped develop multiple state-ranked wrestlers and state qualifiers. He also played an integral role in helping Ypsilanti Community earn its first team district championship in more than 20 years.
Coach Daniels earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Marketing from Adrian College. He joins Mott Wrestling with a commitment to building champions through hard work, discipline, accountability, and a student-first approach.
Please join us in giving Coach Blake Daniels a warm Bears welcome! We are excited for the passion, energy, and experience he brings to our program and look forward to the impact he will make on our student-athletes and the future of Mott Community College Wrestling."
