Bio
Coach Holdren has been involved with wrestling for almost 60 years now. An Albion College graduate who was a Captain, MVP, and National Qualifier for the Brits, accumulating a 49-7 record, after losing 5 matches as a freshman. Over 8 years of high school coaching, 21 state placers were produced, including 5 USWF All-Americans and 1 AAU national Greco champion. His teams were undefeated for 4 seasons, winning every tournament but the States. Holdren protégés went on to collegiate success at D1, D2, and D3 institutions. James Holliman, ’77 Flint Northwestern, achieved success on the international level being ranked 5th in the World.
As the founding Coach at Mott Community College, Holdren coached the program for 6 years achieving NCWA national rankings and 15 All-Americans. In 2015 Coach Holdren established the Rochester Christian University Wrestling program, which serves both men and women. He is the only Michigan Coach to start 2 college programs.
Presently, Coach travels internationally to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in 3rd world nations. He, also, preaches on satellite TV in 8 Asian countries and teaches at a bible college in Pakistan.
