MCCAA weekly awards swept by Elliott
FLINT - For the second straight week, Mott Community College freshman Meggie Elliott has been honored for her performance by the MCCAA.
The Freeland, Mich. native earned her second consecutive MCCAA Easter Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while sweeping the honors by adding the Defensive Player of the Week award after leading the Bears to a win in the teams lone match last week.
Against Lansing Community College Elliott led the Bears with 19 kills and a .368 hitting percentage. She added a team high 12 digs and a block assist on defense.
The Bears (6-7) return to action against Edison State in the team's home opener at 6 pm on Wednesday at the Ballenger Fieldhouse.
