DEARBORN, Mich. - The Mott Community College softball team opened the 2026 MCCAA Eastern Conference schedule with a pair of road doubleheaders over the weekend.
Mott earned a split with Oakland Community College on Friday before sweeping Henry Ford College on Saturday. The results moved the Bears to 11-6 overall and 3-1 in the MCCAA.
Game One vs OCC (4-3 Loss):

Gracie Cantley went 3-for-4 with two RBIs

Alexis Hemker added three hits, including a double, and two runs scored.

Josie Spencer hits a home run.

Arika Hines (3-5) took the loss, allowing four runs, two earned, on five hits in six innings. She struck out five and walked four.
Game Two vs OCC (9-0 Win in Six Innings):

Cantley recorded three hits with a double and a triple. She finished with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Kiera McGarvie added three hits with a double, while driving in two and scoring once.

Katelyn Stallings finished with two hits, two runs, an RBI, and a walk.

Mya Martinez (6-1) earned the win with six shutout innings, allowing four hits, while walking two and striking out four.
Game One vs HFC (12-4 win in Six Innings):

Cantley had her third three-hit game of the weekend with two doubles and a home run. She finished with four RBIs and two runs.

Stallings had two doubles, recording three total hits and two runs scored.

Spencer hit her second home run of the weekend, adding a double, recording four RBIs and a run scored.

Hemker, Hines, and Mackenzie Jones each recorded two hits.

Hines (4-5) got the win, allowing four runs on five hits, walking one and striking out two.
Game Two vs HFC (6-4 win):

McGarvie recorded two doubles and two RBIs.

Cantley had a double and two RBIs, adding a run scored and a stolen base.

Hines (5-5) earned with win in relief, recording 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two.
