FINDLAY, Ohio - The Mott Community College softball team concluded the 2026 season at the Region XII Tournament last week in Findlay, Ohio.
The Bears battled to reach the championship round before falling to the eventual champions from Cuyahoga Community College. Mott opened the tournament with a 16-15 win over Kalamazoo Valley Community College on Thursday.
The Bears were no-hit by Cuyahoga in an 8-0 loss setting up an elimination game with Glen Oaks Community College. The matchup with the Vikings was delayed and finished on Saturday with the Bears advancing to the championship round with a 3-2 win.
Mott eventually fell to Cuyahoga 5-1, ending the season with a 34-13 overall record. Keira McGarvie and Katelyn Stallings were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Highlights vs. KVCC on Thursday:

Stallings went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs, and three runs.

Gracie Cantley had four hits, a triple, one RBI, and three runs.

McGarvie added three hits, a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored.

Alexis Hemker, Brianna Heroux, and Breana Fantin each added two hits.

Arika Hines picked up her 20th win of the season.
Highlights vs. Cuyahoga on Friday:

Hines (20-8) took the loss, allowing eight runs on 10 hits, walking four and striking out four.
Highlights vs. Glen Oaks on Friday/Saturday:

Josie Spencer and Hemker each recorded two hits and a double.

Carley Hoover recorded a hit and an RBI.

Hines (21-8) got the win tossing a complete game. She allowed two runs on four hits, walking four and striking out 10.

Hemker finished with a double and a walk.

McGarvie, Sydney Crowder, and Fantin each added a hit.

Hines (21-9) got the loss, going all six innings, allowing five runs on five hits, walking five and striking out seven.
