ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Mott Community College volleyball team opened the 2025 season with six matches at the Opening Weekend Tournament last weekend in Rockford, Ill.
The No. 20 Bears went 1-5, while matching up against some of the nation's top teams. In the second match of the weekend, Mott took a three-set match over Monroe University. The Bears dropped matches to No. 7 Kirkwood, No. 3 Heartland, No. 11 Sauk Valley, No. 17 Enterprise, and No. 25 Carl Sandburg.
Maggie Elliott led the offense with 45 kills, while adding a team-high 28 digs, playing in all six matches. Skylar Cramer added 77 assists and 23 digs. Destiny Clymer opened her Mott career with 24 kills in six matches, adding eight total blocks. Katie Comstock led the defense with 16 total blocks, including six solo.
The Bears return to action with two matches at the SC4 Quad, starting against North Central Michigan at 3 pm on Wednesday in Port Huron, Mich.
